-We have emerged as a major pressure group in the democratic political arena that represents the rights and aspirations of the Muslim community in the country.
-We are the voice of the community that can and does address issues in a multicultural, multiracial and multi lingual society that makes up the nation state of Sri Lanka.
-We have a proven record of championing the rights of Muslims by democratic means when the nation was engaged in battling insurgencies, wars and communal turbulence from 1981, when the party was founded to date.
– We are recognized for our ability to address rights based concerns and development related issues of Muslims in the geographic locations where they live in large or smaller numbers.
-As a minority party representing a minority, we continue to mediate wherever and whenever we feel we can make a tangible contribution to conflicting parties, facilitate and encourage negotiated resolution of the issues that still delays full national reconciliation.
-We are represented at every level of governance in the country that comprises, district level, Urban and Municipal Councils, Pradeshiya Sabhas, Provincial Councils; and at a national-level legislative body- the parliament of Sri Lanka.
